Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)/Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Correct Care Solutions
Under the supervision of the Correct Care Solutions Divisional Director, the LPC/LCSW, as a part of the primary care team, is responsible for providing standardized assessments and mental health counseling services for detainees held in corrections facilities.
The LPC/LCSW will work to assess and treat the behavioral health needs of patients referred to him/her and will utilize
correctional site resources for needed specialty care, hospitalization, or advance psychiatric assessments and treatments.
The LPC/LCSW will also actively collaborate with psychiatric prescribers, mental health nurses, and correctional security staff to provide quality care to detainees referred to him/her. On-call services will be required as a part of this position.
Certification and Licensure:
- Must be a fully licensed provider in the state in which your work site is located.
- Must be credentialed to provide telehealth services in the state in which your work site is located (if applicable)
- Maintains current, unrestricted licensure in the state of the facility to which he/she is
assigned. - Must maintain all certifications required through state and national agencies.
Education and Experience:
- Masters Degree in Accredited Clinical Mental Health, Professional Counseling, Clinical Social Work Program, Counseling Psychology, or equivalent is required
- 2 years of experience in providing behavioral health treatment in outpatient and/or inpatient settings is preferred. Experience in providing behavioral health treatment in correctional settings is highly preferred.
Security/Background Checks:
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, must have an unrestricted license to practice in the state in which your work site is located, must be able to pass a National Provider Database check, and must be able to pass both general criminal and EQIP background checks to be eligible for this position.
Job Description, Essential Functions, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- LPC/LCSW develops and implements patient treatment consistent with the objectives of contract deliverables and consistent with all policies and standards that are pertinent to the delivery of behavioral health care to detainees at the facility in which they are housed. This is accomplished by performing comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, establishing realistic and measurable short and long term treatment goals, and initiating appropriate clinical treatment based upon evaluation findings. Training on all pertinent policies and standards that govern the provision of behavioral health care to detainees in the type of facility in which they are housed (ICE Dedicated Facilities, US Marshals Facilities, etc) is provided as part of this position.
- The LPC/LCSW implements appropriate treatment techniques to maximize patient
function, promote healing and adjustment of disability. - Formulates differential diagnosis of mild to moderate mental health conditions and/or
substance abuse. - Consults with Correctional Care Solutions Divisional Director, immediate supervisor(s),
psychiatric treatment provider, and other providers regarding complex patients and regarding prescription medications prescribed by providers. - Actively collaborates with psychiatric prescribers in all cases to maximize treatment efficacy.
- Adapts conventional therapy techniques to meet the needs of patients in a correctional setting. Adaptations are based on the patients’ physical and cognitive capabilities, strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.
- Provide non-scheduled urgent assessment of patients as identified by correctional/treatment staff.
- Identify patients with urgent mental health conditions (e.g. suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, etc.) and make appropriate referrals to available emergency or psychiatric treatment resources.
- Maintain an understanding of how behavioral health priorities are administered under state and federal guidelines for correctional populations.
- Provides patient care in a safe and therapeutic environment by maintaining the privacy of the patients.
- Provides education to patients from admission to discharge by providing individualized instructions to maximize function.
- On date of session, documents patients’ progress, interim assessments, and discharge summaries with updated goals. Updates, modifies, and prioritizes goals based on evaluations and re-evaluation of findings. Documents services provided through daily SOAP notes and through flow chart in documentation system. Initial evaluations to be completed within 48 hours of assessment and re-evaluations to be completed within 24 hours of assessment, unless otherwise agreed upon with Correctional Care Coordinator.
- Independently plans and arranges for patient transfers through communication with the interdisciplinary team.
- Demonstrates competency and knowledge of current standards of practice within the profession.
- Recognizes limitations and makes appropriate referrals to other resources (inpatient care, hospitalization, etc) as needed.
- Participates in staff orientation/training.
- Prepare monthly productivity reports.
- Be available for rotating weekend on-call schedule.
- Prepares reports for quality improvement.
- Maintain quality care through participation in peer review, policy development and
quality improvement programs. - Maintains professional liability insurance coverage in an amount sufficient to qualify for coverage according to state malpractice guidelines
- Engages in continuous quality improvement activities to evaluate compliance to contract deliverables, treatment standards, Family Solutions policies and procedures, and identifies strategies to improve patient care.
- Maintains patient confidentiality by keeping information private as described by HIPAA/HiTECH/CFR 42 Part 2 standards.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all Family Solutions services and capabilities offered to the community.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of clinical and counseling services, including all necessary billing information. Ensure accurate and consistent use of encounter forms for all client contracts with behavioral health providers to ensure accurate billing of third party resources. Completes and submits timesheets weekly.
- Maintain and update professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, workshops and serving on special committees.
- Must be willing to travel and/or provide telehealth coverage between Family Solutions clinical sites.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst
The primary function of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges, and to supervise Line Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians.
Certification and Licensure:
- Required Registered Behavior Technician Certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Licensed in the State of Louisiana
Education and Experience:
- Required Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Education or Related Field of Study
- Required Master's degree in ABA, Psychology, Education, or Related Field of Study
- 1-3 years of experience preferred for entry-level positions

Line tech/registered Behavior technician (Aba therapy)
The Line Tech (LT)/Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities in the clinical setting. The Behavior Technician will collect data on programs, assist with parent training, and assist the Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Lead Behavior Technician, and ABA Interns with clinical assessments as needed. The Behavior Technician will be responsible for implementing the duties of the Lead Behavior Technician and ABA Interns in the temporary absence of these team members. Line Tech is the entry-level position, after successful completion of orientation and training and successful completion of a 40-hour on-line module and test, the Line Tech becomes a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT). Must pass a Criminal Background Check and will be fingerprinted to become a RBT.
Certification and Licensure:

The Physical Therapist (Therapist) conducts physical therapy evaluations and conducts prescribed physical therapy programs to assist patient participation in tasks to restore, reinforce and enhance physical performance and facilitate the learning of skills essential for adaptation of an altered lifestyle. The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for working with other health professionals in achieving goals related to meeting the individual's maximum functional abilities following a life altering illness or disability.
Certification and Licensure:
- Licensed as a physical therapist in the State of Louisiana.

Education and Experience:

- Participates in staff and intern orientation/training.
- Securing liability insurance.

- Completes at least the minimum supervision requirements for up to four PTA’s, while also maintaining a caseload of clients and new evaluations. Supervision can be of PTA’s and/or interns/students of a PT program or PTA program.

speech-language pathologist
The Speech-Language Pathologist conducts speech therapy evaluations and treatment of communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to enhance ability to communicate basic needs, to function cognitively at a maximal level, and to consume oral nutrition safely in the least restrictive manner. Speech-Language Pathologist assistant (PRN)
The Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant PRN provides treatment under supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist and completes a variety of tasks such as activities designed to develop pre-language and language skills, oral-motor control for speech production, vocalization, and use of assistive technology devices for communication; works with students who have identified speech and language disorders as well as other disabilities. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK FRIDAYS AND/OR SATURDAYS.
Certification and Licensure:
- CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire.
Education and Experience:
An SLP-A must complete an approved course of academic study, field work under the supervision of an ASHA-certified and/or licensed SLP, and on-the-job training specific to SLP-A responsibilities and workplace behaviors.
- Required: Associate's degree in an SLPA program
or
a Bachelor's Degree in a Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders program
and
- successful completion of a minimum of one hundred (100) hours of supervised field work experience or its clinical experience equivalent

Occupational therapist
The Occupational Therapist organizes and conducts Occupational Therapy program to facilitate rehabilitation of the mentally or physically disabled. Directs patient participation in selected tasks to restore, reinforce, and enhance physical performance, facilitate learning of those skills and functions essential for adaptation and productivity, diminish or correct pathology, and promotes and maintains health.
Certification and Licensure:
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Louisiana.
- Must maintain all certifications required through state and national agencies.

- Bachelor of Science degree or greater in Accredited Occupational Therapy Program Required

- Under the direction of a licensed provider, the therapist develops and implements patient treatment consistent with the objectives of the interdisciplinary treatment plan by performing comprehensive assessments, establishing realistic and measurable short and long term goals, and initiating appropriate actions based upon evaluation findings.
- The therapist implements appropriate treatment techniques to maximize patient function, promote healing and adjustment of disability.

- On date of session, documents patients’ evaluation progress, interim assessments, and discharge summaries with updated goals. Updates, modifies, and prioritizes goals based on evaluations and re-evaluation of findings. Documenting through EHR for daily SOAP notes and through flow chart in soft chart system. Initial evaluations to be completed within 48 hours of assessment and re-evaluations to be completed within 24 hours of assessment, unless otherwise agreed upon with director of occupational therapy.
- Independently plans and arranges for patient discharges through communication with the interdisciplinary team; discharges patients with appropriate home programs, durable medical equipment, and referrals to other health care professionals.
- Demonstrates competency and knowledge of current standards of practice within the profession.
- Recognizes limitations and makes appropriate referrals to other therapists or health care professions.
- Participates in staff and intern orientation/training.
- Securing liability insurance.

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) works under the direction of the Occupational Therapist in providing care to the mentally and physically disabled. Administrative assistant-Counseling centers
The Administrative Assistant performs clerical work in Family Solutions Counseling Centers. It is their responsibility to keep all patient files organized and to maintain the front office. They are the first person the patient or family member contacts upon arrival to the office. They handle administrative duties, such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
Administrative Assistants are also responsible for managing insurance forms. They use their knowledge and understanding of medical terminology and insurance procedures to act as a liaison between the patient and the insurance agency.
Certification and Licensure:
- Preferred: Certificate in Medical Office Specialist

- Required: High School Education/GED from an accredited High School
- Preferred: 1 year of Customer Service Experience in a medical office setting

Physical therapy assistant (prn)
JOB SUMMARY: Physical therapist assistants (PRN) work under licensed physical therapists (PTs) to help people with physical injuries or illnesses of to regain range of movement and control their pain. Under the PT's direction, PT assistants help people who have lost motor function due to accidents, illness or age. MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK FRIDAYS AND/OR SATURDAYS.
Physical Therapy Assistants follow plans created by PTs that involve stretching, strength training, exercises and physical manipulation to help people recover. PT assistants will track progress and report to the physical therapist. In addition, PT assistants are in charge of the treatment area, making sure that it is clean, neat, and ready for each patient.
Certification and Licensure:

- Current State of Louisiana Physical Therapist Assistant license
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- One year as a Physical Therapy Assistant or comparable internship

- Provides physical therapy treatments according to the physical therapists’ treatment plan

- Records treatment charges daily and completes charge tickets in accurate and timely manner
